The IOSH Directing Safely course will show you what your responsibilities are.
My employer has asked me to look after health and safety but I don’t know what that entails
If your company is small, IOSH Managing Safely will give you a good, general overview. If your company is very large and some of the work is hazardous you need to have some help from a qualified health and safety practitioner.
My company wants to train all the managers in health and safety so that they understand what we’re trying to achieve

I want all my staff to have some basic health and safety training
IOSH Working Safely is designed to help employees at all levels understand what health and safety is about.
I want to become a health and safety practitioner
You will need to do the NEBOSH National General Certificate or the NEBOSH Construction Certificate first. Once you have either of these, you can apply to do the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice.
I manage construction sites/projects and I think I need to know a bit more about health and safety on sites
The NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health is the ideal course, though the IOSH Managing Safely will give you a broad picture of the main issues.
Our supervisors/junior managers need to understand a bit more about health and safety
IOSH Supervising Safely deals with most of the health and safety issues that supervisors will face and explains some of the management issues too.
