If you would find it difficult to come to a day release or block release course you may find this programme a useful way of studying. There will be three taught sessions for you to attend and you will have regular contact with our tutors for help and guidance during your studies.

The three taught sessions we offer are shown below. The first two are strongly recommended.
- Day 1
Unit 1 – health & safety foundation. The first day of a Certificate course (at least four starts during the year)
- Day 2
Unit 16 – monitoring review and audit – Practical Test. The course day involving practice for the practical test
- Day 3
A day of your choice

| Examination & Practical: |
The practical examination takes half a day and a revision session is offered in the second half of the day, which is included in the price of the course. |

| Assessment of the Course: |
The assessment consists of two written examination papers, each of two hours' duration; a practical test involving an inspection of a workplace and the preparation of a report following the inspection. |

| Written Work: |
You will have the opportunity of submitting end of unit questions for marking and comment. Your work will need to be handwritten and sent in by post or fax.
We will mark the work, make comments on it and return it to you within one week. |

| Communications during your study: |
Once enrolled on the programme, we will contact you on a fortnightly basis by email (preferred) or by phone to monitor your progress through the modules and provide any help you need. |
