Audience: |
Students must already have a NEBOSH General Certificate taken within the last three years. |

| Aims: |
To provide those who already have the NEBOSH National General Certificate with a more in-depth knowledge of the requirements of health and safety in the construction industry. |

| Objectives: |
By the end of the course students will be able to:
- Identify construction hazards and suggest appropriate means of reducing the risk they represent.
- Understand and apply health and safety legislation, in particular the legislation applying to construction work.
- Make an inspection of a construction site and write a report to management on the findings, which is both persuasive and practical

| Assessment of the course: |
One written exam paper and an unaided inspection of a construction site and the preparation of a report to management on the finding of the inspection. Students will generally be exempt from NGC1 exam, please ask on application. |

The course consists of 5 lecture days, ½ day revision, ½ day practical assessment and 1 day of written examinations. |
