| Aims: |
The course aims to provide employees with knowledge of their responsibilities for health and safety towards themselves, colleagues and others affected by their work activities. |

| Objectives: |
On successful completion of the course delegates will be able to: |
- identify hazards in their workplace
- assist in preparing risk assessments
- follow their organisations health and safety policy
- report accidents and incidents
- co-operate and communicate on safety matters.

| Course Structure: |
The course is arranged into four modules, which include the following topics: |
- working Safely
- hazards
- safety Performance
- hazards - specific organisation.

| Assessment of the Course: |
The course is assessed by a written assessment paper and workplace safety assessment. Successful completion of the programme results in the award of an Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Certificate. |
